Project ownership and provenance

Understand who owns the original work and how the project records its development.

The original CDK documentation, text, diagrams, artwork, project identity and source materials were independently created and are owned by Joseph Jee, except where third-party material is identified.

Development record The project's dated Git history, source files and published releases record its development. The repository-level notice is available in the LICENSE file.

Documentation licence

Original CDK documentation is available under clear non-commercial reuse conditions unless a page states otherwise.

Creative Commons licence Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International

You may share and adapt covered material for non-commercial purposes when all licence conditions are followed.

Trade marks and project identity

Separate permission to reuse documentation from permission to use the project's identity.

Trade-mark claimCyber Defence Kit™ The Cyber Defence Kit™ name and logo are trade marks of Joseph Jee. New Zealand trade mark applications are pending. Meaning The ™ symbol indicates a claimed trade mark; it does not mean registration is complete.

Licence boundaryProject identity is excluded The Cyber Defence Kit name, CDK name, logo and other project-identity elements are not covered by the documentation licence. Restriction They may not imply ownership, affiliation, or endorsement without prior written permission.

Third-party material

Recognise material that CDK can reference but does not own or relicense.

Rights remain with their owners Identification does not transfer ownership

Product names, trade marks, logos, screenshots, quoted text and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in CDK documentation is for identification, commentary, education or demonstration and does not place that material under the CDK documentation licence.

Page-specific terms Where a page identifies different terms for particular material, those terms take precedence for that material.
